Membership and Meetings
Guests and visitors are always welcome and encouraged to attend our meetings. Individual annual membership dues are $30.00. There is no cost to attend our regular meetings but you must be a paid member in order to participate in SAPS competitions and special events. Paid members are also automatically eligible to compete in CACCA competitions.
The Schaumburg Area Photographic Society (SAPS) meets the 2nd & 4th Mondays of each month from September through May at the Schaumburg Community Recreation Center (CRC), 505 N Springinsguth, Schaumburg, IL 60194 (Southeast corner of Bode & Springinsguth). The 2nd Mondays of the month are program nights devoted to presentations by talented speakers, workshops, and hands-on learning experiences. The 4th Mondays of September, November, January and March are our regular and special themed competition nights. The Best-of-Year competition takes place in May. Our annual Business Meeting is held in June. All meetings begin promptly at 7:00pm unless otherwise noted in the schedule.
Typically in January and February due to winter weather, or for distant outside speakers' presentations, our meetings are scheduled on Zoom. Visitors may obtain links to these by contacting a member, or using the Contact Form.
